Bit History

Nirartha across the Bali Strait from Java by a boat made of pumpkin, and then landed on the coast of what is now known as Purancak. While awaiting the arrival of his wife and seven sons, Nirartha shelter in an Ancak tree. That is where the Purancak temple stood until now. Nirartha entire trip down the south coast of Bali has always been marked by the establishment of several temples. After Pura Rambut Siwi, then Pura Tanah Lot, and Pura Uluwatu. At the last temple is said as a place of  moksa  Danghyang Nirartha.

Now on the path where Nirartha's spiritual journey from the Kingdom Blambangan, East Java, toward the Kingdom Gelgel, Klungkung, seems extending a fortress that keeps the island of Bali from the evil elements that come from the sea. Many believe this line has made Bali can maintain its spiritual vibration since the 11th century until this modern time.
